I have been working in Kids-related field for many years now that children
have become a big importance in my life. Everywhere i go, or anything i do,
ppl tend to look at me as being childish. I totally understand, n no complains
either. Cos i live to be who i want to be, n i dun give even 2 cents abt wat
others think abt me. I've learnt that this world we live in, day to day, till
we die, can be and (i confirm with two chop). is a cruel world. Its become so
competitive and crazy that living everyday without drama is impossible.
If u wan to be on top of the ladder, u gotta have to work hard for it.
If u wan to stay put in that position, u gotta work hard for it,
Then u have ppl who out of jealousy, want to bring u down so they can take over u.
U cant expect full support from anyone these days, u only have one strong contact
and that is Yourself!!! Tough world rite. I had an easy childhood, but one tough one
as well. Which explains y i dun remember most of my childhood now.
My Childhood: I always had to study, study,study and there was very little play.
I was nvr close to my mum, only to my dad. My mum hated me, cos i was apparently a mistake.
My dad loved me and pampered me cos i was the only daughter after my 9siblings.
He told eveyone that even after his death, i wld be the only one to uphold his name,
n prove to the world. And thus Sharniya has to PROVE to the world that i am HIS CHILD.
I sometimes wan a break from all this but since young i have been running a race, that now
u ask me to stop, i m unable to...its very tiring!!
So i decided one thing recently, never wld i bring in a child of my blood into this
CRUEL,MEAN,UNFORGIVING WORLD!!
I have a client(Claire) who requires my agency's services. She is this Chindian Eurasian with 5
CHILDREN!! YeS 5!! BUT unfortunately neither of them is hers. SHe cant conceive but she
adopted. I had an interesting convo with her today, it goes like this:
Claire: Ms RIna, so u love children?
Me: yes, i adore them.
Claire: What do u love abt them?
Me: Its funny how they can easily brighten up your day in a snap, how funny n
cute they can be. Every individual child is a gem to me. I adore each of their Qualities.
Claire: Nice!! I doubt u have children of ur own rite??
Me: Nope.
Claire: wat abt in the near future??
Me: I love children but i dun wan a child of my own ever. (here, i explain abt bringing in
a life into a world like this);
Claire: Well i agree with you, and u know wat Ms Rina, i once thought like you. But i tried
to have children of my own and when i figured out i cld not conceive ever, i stopped trying.
But then i got lonely!! Life was jus too boring. Its was so routined.
Every Morning, getting up n going to work, not having to worry (abt what ur kids are doing
in school or home),comeing home to see the same face u see eveyday;ur husband's,
eating with him, watching tv with him and then goign to bed. And then a brand new day, starts
again, n ITS THE SAME OLD ROUTINE!! Ms Rina, u sure u wan that??? Think!! Children bring u
happiness and loads of joy. Even if u cant conceive one, ADOPT.
Me: *speechless*
She definitely opened my mind. Made me think alot. I decided, I take back my words. I want
Kids. My own flesh and blood!! For when i die, i wan someone to live up my name.
